A medically vulnerable 17-year-old Florida girl died of complications due to COVID-19 after she attended a church function where social distancing was not practiced and was then treated with hydroxychloroquine by her mother and stepfather before seeking medical attention, according to the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner. Carsyn Leigh Davis, who had a "complex medical history" including an autoimmune disorder known as an opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome, died June 23 at 1:06 p.m, according to the medical examiner's report.
